For the longest time I was buying raw almonds, soaking them, blending them and straining them to make my own almond milk. Although totally delicious, it was time consuming…until I had a lightbulb moment. I was flipping through the new How Not To Die Cookbook (based on the book How Not To Die: Discover the Foods Scientifically Proven to Prevent and Reverse Disease) and low and behold, right before me was a super simple, Ā much easier recipe illustrating how to make one-minute homemade almond milk, hassle free.
So, without further ado, here is theĀ better, smarter, faster, less pain-in-the-neck method for almond milk.
How To Make One-Minute Homemade Almond Milk
- 3 tablespoonsĀ raw organicĀ almond butterĀ or use your homemade almond butter from this recipe.
- 4 cupsĀ filteredĀ water
- Pour the water into the blender and add the almond butter. Blend at high speed until creamy and frothy (depending on your blender, this can take up to 30 seconds). I personally use a Vitamix!
- Pour the “milk” into an airtight storage container (I like this one) and keep it in the fridge for up to 4 days. You can use it in place of milk or store bought almond milk, over cereal, granola, chia pudding, or in smoothies. Enjoy!
