If you’re new around here, I’ll catch you up. We love tequila. So, it seems as though I’m always rooting around the fridge for some inspiration on my next tequila based cocktail. Recently, a friend asked if we’d ever tried the Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut… I’d never ever heard of it, so she handed us a can and told us to let her know what we thought. Honestly, we never drank it and it sat in our fridge for a few months…up until I was inspired to crack that baby open! Enter stage right, my latest and greatest creation…my recipe for the yummiest Coconut Margarita you’ve ever had! So here is a drink that’s creamy, cool, and refreshing. A drink that is an absolute must for any margarita lover! The coconut pairs perfectly with the tartness of lime and the toasted coconut drink rim gives you crunchy coconut enjoyment to each sip. I love most all margarita recipes, but this one is just something special. I hope you enjoy the ultimate recipe for coconut margarita!

Coconut Margarita Recipe

The Yummiest Coconut Margarita Recipe is simple, delicious and easy to make - combine a few ingredients for a tasty refreshing cocktail!

Equipment

• 1 Vitamix Blender

Ingredients

  

1x2x3x

• 1 cup high quality tequila
• 1/2 cup Grand Marnier
• 1 15 ounce Goya Cream of Coconut
• 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
• 1/2 cup toasted coconut
• 1 cup ice

Instructions

 

• First, combine your Goya Cream of Coconut, Hornitos Tequila, ice, fresh lime juice, Grand Marnier and 1 heaping tablespoon of toasted coconut in a blender (I love our Vitamix for this!).
• Next, place remaining toasted coconut on a small plate and rub a lime wedge around rims of two cocktail glasses and then press rims into coconut.
• Pour your Coconut Margarita mixture into the glasses, add a wedge of lime and enjoy!
