Yesterday we headed out to Mountainside Lavender Farm, which became an annual trek for us when we relocated to the mid-Willamette Valley. It is seriously one of the prettiest little places where you can u-pick lavender, or purchase already created bunches. The little gift shop also has lavender sachet packets, lavender essential oil and even lavender short bread! Personally, I love picking a few fresh bunches for around the house and then a few of the lavender sachet packets for our dresser, which keeps our clothes smelling fresh!
Located southwest of Hillsboro, Oregon, the farm has views of Mt. Hood and the surrounding valley. Absolutely stunning! It is the most idyllic place to pick some lavender, relax, read a book, eat a picnic and enjoy the surrounding peacefulness. You could also make a little day of it, starting at the lavender farm and ending with a few appointments at wineries in the nearby wine country!
I hope you have fun exploring Oregon! And, if you’re interested in reading more about the surrounding Oregon Wine Country, consider checking out this blog post here!
