Refreshing Martini Recipes!
August 4, 2021I have to tell you… I was on an total martini kick while we were in Palm Springs last week and as soon as we landed at home, I was determined to recreate a few of my favorites! Today, I’m sharing two of my latest and greatest summer-loving Palm Springs cocktail recipes and the corresponding cocktail shakers I love using to create them! Cheers friends! Refreshing Martini Recipes
FRESH CUCUMBER MARTINI
If you’ve been hanging around my blog for quite some time, you know how I love to choose a new “drink of choice” every summer (see what was my go-to summer drink 2 years ago!).
But nothing quite tops the refreshing burst that the Fresh Cucumber Martini offers. It’s delicious, pretty to look at, and designed for summer.
For rose gold lovers, I suggest using this set of 2 Koriko Weighted Tins in rose gold! However, if you want a modern approach to cocktail making, the triple-insulated BrüMate Shaker that features a splash-proof drinking lid will do just fine!
INGREDIENTS
– 2 oz Effen Cucumber vodka
– 1 oz Grand Marnier
– 1 lime, freshly squeezed, or you can use this organic lime juice
– 1 cup ice
– cucumber slices for garnish
– sprigs fresh mint for garnish
DIRECTIONS
Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice and add vodka, Grand Marnier, and lime juice. Shake, shake, shake and strain into prepared martini glass and garnish with cucumber slices and a fresh mint sprig.
Love fresh squeezed lime juice? This is my favorite hand juicer.
Enjoy!
COCONUT MARTINI
Do you often find yourself relishing all those vacay memories? Because I do! And sometimes, all we need is a refreshing drink, to take us back to those vacation days like our recent trip to Palm Springs! I personally like pairing my imaginary vacation with this delicious Coconut Martini.
I highly suggest shaking up your cocktail using a double-wall cocktail shaker or a stainless-steel copper cocktail shaker set to best enjoy this delicious, refreshing drink!
INGREDIENTS
– 1 oz Cruzan Rum
– 1 ½ oz Grey Goose Vanilla Vodka
– 1 ½ oz Cruzan Coconut Rum
– ½ oz Coco Lopez Cream of Coconut
– toasted coconut garnish (optional)
DIRECTIONS
Prep your cocktail glass by running a lime along the edge and pressing the rim into a plate filled with toasted toasted coconut. Fill your cocktail shaker halfway with ice and add rum, vodka, coconut rum, and Coco Lopez . Shake, shake, shake and strain into your prepared cocktail glass. Enjoy!
What should I look for when buying a cocktail shaker?
There’s no existing rule book about the best cocktail shakers. I believe that cocktail shakers all offer the same result—a well-mixed, shaken cocktail. Your decision all boils down to four factors: quality, versatility, design, and the volume of liquids it can accommodate. At the end of the day, a quality cocktail shaker that has all those features will do perfectly!
Cheers!

M
