Whenever there is a holiday, my mom makes these amazing Spritz Cookies, and with Easter upon us these sweet little cookies would make the perfect Easter Brunch accompaniment. You need a cookie press for the recipe, but they turn out so incredibly darling, covered in the most precious sprinkles, they are almost (ALMOST) too cute to eat. That’s why today, I’m sharing with you my mama’s Spritz Cookie recipe, so you can shower your family with the cutest, most delicious cookies on earth.
Spritz Cookie Recipe
INGREDIENTS
1 cup organic butter, softened
2/3 cup organic sugar
1 large free range brown eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
DIRECTIONS
Heat oven to 400°F and combine all ingredients except flour in bowl. Beat at medium speed until creamy and then add your flour; beat at low speed until well-mixed. Make sure the dough is stiff and stick. If dough is too soft, cover and refrigerate, 30-45 minutes. Once your dough is prepared, place dough into cookie press fitted with the template of your choice. Form desired shapes, 1 inch apart, onto un-greased baking sheets (I use these non-toxic stainless steel baking sheets). If you’d like to add sprinkles, add them to your shapes prior to placing in the oven. Last, bake 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. ENJOY!
XO!
