Today, in celebration of National Pinot Noir Day, I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite wineries; Brooks. Before we moved, we decided to head out to the Eola-Amity hills area of Oregon wine country to visit one of our tried and true favorites – Brooks Winery. If you’ve never been to Brooks, add it to your list because it is seriously one of the BEST wineries in the Willamette Valley. With a commitment to high-quality unique wines and guest experiences, Brooks exemplifies everything you might be looking for in an Oregon winery!

So why exactly do you love it so much?

From the employees, to the story, to the wines and even the view from the winery. Brooks is all about quality. Every time we visit, we have a unique, personal, and informative experience and this last time was no exception. Even during Covid19, we felt as though we were safe (employees went above and beyond with cleaning, wearing gloves, face masks and staying at a distance), and yet the experience was still intimate and personalized. That is extremely difficult to achieve but they did so beautifully.

What are some of your favorite wines they produce?

Brooks Winery has some of the best wines in the valley and they are all extremely approachable. They produce beautiful Rieslings and Pinot noirs, but the wine that we head out there to buy bottles upon bottles of? Their Pinot Blanc. It is by far the best Pinot Blanc I’ve had in Oregon, and its easily worth the trip out to Brooks to pick up a case, or two. Trust me. This is one wine you do not want to run out of at home during the summertime! You will not regret it!

If you’re not a huge Pinot Blanc fan, then my next favorite is their Ara Riesling. Brooks specializes in Rieslings, so they have this type of wine down to an art. In fact, did you know that Brooks produces more Riesling than any other winery in America? You’d be surprised, but even if you are not a Riesling fan, I’m sure (100% positive) Brooks will have a Riesling you’ll love.
