The holidays are almost here and I decided to round up the BEST gifts for the travelers in your life. The following gift-giving guide is packed with my favorite travel related items. Each item mentioned below is something I own and swear by. Like always, I only recommend things I find to be of good quality, well worth the price you’re paying and something you’ll be happy with for years to come!
Happy Holidays!
Suitcases
I love a good suitcase, and very few measure up to my standards. I have found three which standout above the rest in easy packability, sturdiness and glide-ability while walking through an airport.
- TUMI – Tegra Lite Max Continental Expandable Carry-On Luggage – 22 Inch Hardside Suitcase – We recently purchased this for my husband and it’s amazing. It feels like a splurge, but I guarantee you it’s worth every penny.
- DELSEY Paris Luggage Chatelet Hard+ Carry On Spinner Suitcase Hardcase – I’m an incredibly skeptical shopper and I’m certainly not one to give an item the benefit of the doubt before I’ve tried it myself. I kept seeing this suitcase all over Instagram and did not think much… until I saw one at the store and took it for a spin. SOLD. I bought it right then and there and have been happy ever since!
-
Travelpro Luggage Crew 11 22″ Carry-on Expandable Rollaboard w/Suiter and USB Port – Still one of my best purchases, this Travelpro suitcase is one of my favorites. It’s lightweight, dependable and incredibly durable. The one I linked is an upgrade from the version I have and features a USB port so you can charge your phone while you stroll through the airport.
Backpacks
- Longchamp Le Pliage Backpack– I needed a backpack which could act like a purse while we toured around Europe. However, it needed to be somewhat fashionable. My girlfriend turned me onto this bag and it was love at first sight! I even use it while at home and not traveling, mostly when I’m bopping around town doing errands.
-
Fjallraven – Kanken Laptop 17″ Backpack – The last time we went on a long trip, I realized I did not have a great backpack to carry my laptop in. I spent countless hours reading reviews and doing the research. I wanted something lightweight, yet still good-looking. I found this Fjallraven and fell in love! Best part was they offer more than just basic black.
Purses
- Tory Burch Cross Body Chain Wallet – I love this chain wallet. It has a little zippered pocket to store your passport and money, while also storing your credit cards and lip gloss. It’s also easy to pack into your carry-on bag since it’s so compact!
Packing Cubes
There is nothing I dislike more than digging through my entire freshly packed suitcase to find that one shirt. Ugh. That’s why these packing cubes are a total lifesaver. You’ll have no trouble finding what you’re looking for, without disrupting your entire bag.
- Bagail Packing Cubes – These basic packing cubes will help your entire suitcase stay organized from door-to-door.
-
Compression Packing Cubes – Have a tendency to overpack like me? Stuff these full of your clothing and maximize your space!
Jewelry Rolls
- Jewelry Roll Clutch – My godmother bought me this gorgeous silk jewelry roll and it’s amazing! I use it for short or long trips and it keeps all my jewelry safe and clean.
- Jewelry Organizer– This soft leather clutch is perfect to keep all your necklaces untangled and your rings in one place. I love how lightweight and compact this organizer is.
Toiletry Bags
- Women – If you have a lot of travel sized items, then consider one of these toiletry bags which hang up and help you stay organized!
- Men – I recently purchased my husband this leather toiletry bag, which includes travel sized bottles. He loves it!
The Etc.
- Neck Pillow– I recently discovered this Trtl Pillow and it’s been a GAME CHANGER for me on flights. Let’s be real. My head flops around, and if I’m traveling solo there is a good chance I might snuggle a stranger. This wrap holds your head in an ergonomic position during rest, meaning no more flopping!
- Makeup Organizer– High quality material, easy to clean and and easy to rearrange to fit your cosmetic and beauty items, I really love using this organizer!
- Carry-On Cocktail Kit– Liquid courage for the flight ahead never hurt. Right?! For the record, my favorite is the Moscow Mule.
The following might not seem like the most obvious gift for the holidays, but if you have kids or grand children that might be traveling within the next year – consider giving them the gift of Travelers Insurance. This is something so simple and whomever is on the receiving end will be so grateful at your thoughtfulness.
