The Best Travel Guide to Sedona
Arrive
Fly into either Flagstaff, or Phoenix airport. Sedona does have it’s own airport, but it is private.
Additionally, the best time to visit Sedona is from March to May when the temperatures are warm, but not overly so. This season is especially perfect for hikers,, as desert flowers add a pop of color to the rust-colored trails. September to November is another nice time to visit, but expect cooler evenings. Lastly, Spring and fall are characterized by blue sunny skies and temps ranging from the mid-60s to the low 80s, however, you should keep in mind that this is the most popular times to visit and room rates will be more expensive!
Enjoy
- Hike near Cathedral Rock, Bell Rock, Bear Mountain and Courthouse Rock
- Visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross

Stay
Enchantment Resort – When you arrive at Enchantment Resort, it’s like driving into a hidden oasis. As you follow the winding road into what’s known as Boynton Canyon, you’re brain goes on holiday and you are left in total awe; taking in the breathtaking red rock striking itself again that blue Arizona sky. And that’s just the beginning.
Your Casita will leave you wanting nothing. Nothing. Let’s be real for a moment. How many times have you walked into your hotel room and thought to yourself “Ugh! I need to call the front desk for blank”…this was the first time in a long time that all our needs were totally anticipated. They were totally dialed in. I found my place. That place I could finally relax and enjoy. It’s private, it’s cozy, it’s romantic and you feel as though you have finally arrived.
Eat
The Hudson – This place seems to always be packed with locals enjoying sophisticated and artfully presented comfort food. There’s a bustling bar, a lounge and an open dining room that’s perched high on the hillside so diners on the patio can enjoy gorgeous views of the canyon and rocks below.
Creekside Sedona – This cute little place sits overlooking Oak Creek, with one of the most beautiful Red Rock views in the whole area.
Saltrock Kitchen – Hidden away in the Amara Resort in Uptown Sedona, this high-end Mexican restaurant feels like an escape from the hustle and bustle of the town. With great views of Snoopy Rock, Camel Rock, and access to Oak Creek, this restaurant makes you feel like you’ve suddenly discovered a hidden oasis in the middle of the desert.
Hideaway House – This funky Italian-American food restaurant has three patios and two dining rooms spread out over two different levels, meaning you pretty much get an amazing view from wherever you’re sitting.
