Fresh and Fruity Blueberry Mojito
April 11, 2020I never realized how much I loved the Mojito cocktail until we went to Aruba. You see, the hotel we stayed at had this deal everyday in their lobby bar from 3-6 pm that you could buy 2 for 1 Mojitos. Well obviously, I was not going to turn down a free mojito! The hubs and my family spent every afternoon at that bar, trying all the various flavors of Mojitos they offered. Just call it “Market Research” for this article, because I found that my two very favorite flavors were blueberry and pineapple. The recipe below is for my fresh and fruity blueberry Mojito, but you could easily swap out the blueberry for any fruit you’d like! Cheers!
INGREDIENTS
Recipe makes two cocktails.
– 1/4 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
– 2 sprigs fresh mint
– 2 tablespoon organic sugar
– 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice (about 1/2 a lime)
– 3 ounces Cruzan Rum
– 16 ounces Fever Tree Soda Water
DIRECTIONS
Place your blueberries, mint, sugar and lime juice into a small pitcher and use your muddle stick to break up together. Next, add your Cruzan Rum and Fever Tree Soda Water, stir and then divide over two glasses prepped with ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint sprig! Enjoy!
No Muddler? No problem!
If you do not have a muddler, place all ingredients into a cocktail shaker (minus the soda water), add ice and shake really well. Then pour into your prepped glasses with ice and top with Fever Tree Soda Water.
