The Wines I’m Drinking Right Now!
August 17, 2022I love wine. No secret there. What you probably don’t know though are what some of my absolute FAVORITE types of wine are… and from which wineries! Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a pretty non-discriminating wine drinker, meaning, if it’s good quality and tasty, I’m all about it! But, like everyone, I do have a few “go-to” varietals and particular wineries that I’m always excited to purchase wines from, open and drink (REPEAT). Today, I’m going to share with you the wines I’m drinking right now, including wine from Oregon, wine from Walla Walla and even wine from some of the best wineries in Napa Valley. Cheers friends!
WINES I’M DRINKING RIGHT NOW
Below are the wines I’ve been enjoying for the past few weeks…they are drinking excellent and can be found via direct purchase from the winery!
PINOT NOIR
Alloro 2019 Pinot Noir – One of my favorite “everyday” wines for a Pinot. I personally love all of Alloro’s wines, but this one is a stand out! Great price point as well. I personally enjoy drinking this in a Pinot Noir glass.
RED BLEND
Tranche 2019 Pape – I love this red single vineyard blend of four grape varieties native to the French Rhone region—Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsaut grown in the Walla Walla valley! Make sure you open it up a bit before you plan to enjoy it, or decant it to give it time to breathe, drink this in a Cabernet glass. YUM!
SAUVIGNON BLANC
Hill Family 2021 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc – I’m salivating while I write this, by far one of my favorite Sauv Blancs EVER. Consider using this Sauvignon glass.
CHARDONNAY
White Rock Vineyards 2018 Reserve Chardonnay – By far my favorite Chardonnay to date, this sweet little hidden gem is a Napa favorite of mine! Serve this in a Chardonnay glass for the best expression!
ROSÉ
Stoller 2021 Rosé – Whole cluster pressed, with bright and fresh notes of strawberry and citrus this is currently one of my favorite rosés from the Willamette Valley! Enjoy this in a rosé wine glass.
Bells Up 2021 Prelude with only 101 cases produced, this delicious Chehalem Mountains AVA Rosé of Pinot Noir is full bodied, highly complex and features red ripe berries with a clean finish.
SPARKLING WINE
Below are two wines you’ll want to enjoy in a Champagne glass or in this hybrid glass made for Rosé and Champagne.
2017 Knudsen Vineyard Blanc de Blanc – Knudsen Vineyard is one of the Willamette Valley’s most historic vineyard sites and grapes grown and sourced from this vineyard creates some of the most amazing bubbles in the Willamette Valley! This is easily a favorite from Argyle.
Schramsberg 2016 Blanc de noir – If I’m going for something delicious, consistent and always yummy, we will pop a bottle of Schramsberg open. This is one of my particular faves and at a very approachable pricepoint. Meaning, you won’t feel guilty opening this during the week!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this round up of what wines I’m drinking right now! Looking for some foods to enjoy with these wines? Consider reading this post about creating the best charcuterie boards!
